Kuala Gandah Elephant Rehabilitation Center
Kuala Gandah, Pahang
Located just 60-90 minutes out of Kuala Lumpur lies the Kuala Gandah Elephant Rehabilitation Center in Pahang. This center is owned and managed by the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (DWNP) and is therefore the defacto National Elephant Conservation Center.

Zoo Melaka
Ayer Keroh, Malacca
Zoo Melaka is another facility managed by the DWNP and if the term "National Zoo" had not been used by Zoo Negara, Zoo Melaka is defacto the "National Zoo." It is located about an hour south of Kuala Lumpur and offers elephant riding activities on weekends, public holidays and school holidays.
